I, Nox Meriil, am a Vancouver, British Columbia based photographer, cosplayer, and fashion enthusiast. I began cosplaying in 2009, and discovered my love of photography by taking cosplay photos of myself and my friends. In 2017, I moved to United Kingdom to attend the University of South Wales for film production. I graduated with a BA (Honours) in Film in 2020. Graduating into a pandemic forced me to focus on projects I could work on my by myself or within my small social bubble. This allowed me to grow my skills in still photography and short-form video content.

In 2023, I decided to open up photoshoots to cosplayers after seeing countless male photographers prey on people in my community. I booked out completely for my first event within 24 hours of opening slots. This made me realize the need for photographers like me, and my passion for photography and my love for my community has driven me to pursue photography ever since.
